Architectural Control Committee
The basic purpose of this committee is to preserve the aesthetic value and appearance of the structures and landscaping of the Villages of Rivershyre. Its goal is to maintain the neighborhood to the highest standards applicable. The governing guidelines can be found in the Covenants. The committee considers and approves or disapproves plans and specifications for private pools, fences, walls, home modifications/additions, sheds, removal of trees and shrubs, and other items affecting the value and/or appearance of the neighborhood.
BEFORE you begin construction, removal, etc..., please submit a Property Alteration Request Form with the supporting documents to this committee. It is very important that you include all necessary documents in order to receive an expeditious response. If you are in any doubt as to how to proceed or whether you need to proceed, please contact a committee member. The committee is committed to assisting you in any way it can.
If you believe there is a violation of the Covenants, please submit a Covenant Violation Complaint Form to the committee for consideration and action. The committee is here to protect our largest investment - our homes and property.

Procedure - This is the procedure used by the Architectural Control Committee to enforce covenant violations.
Covenant Reminders
The following are the most commonly violated covenants of the Rivershyre Community Association. Please see your personal copy of the covenants for additional information. If you do not have a copy of the covenants, please click here.
- Article III, Section 8, Approval of Plans: No building, fence, or other structure shall be erected until plans are submitted and approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).
- Article III, Section 9, Preservation of Trees and Vegetation: Living plants may not be removed without prior written approval by the ACC.
- Article III, Section 10, Completion of Construction within One Year: Within one year after commencing construction will be completed.
- Article V, Section 3, Screened Areas for Unsightly Items: No garbage receptacles may be maintained except in screened areas, which conceal them from view from the road and adjacent property.
- Article V, Section 5, Vehicles: Campers, boats, and trailers used for purely recreational purposes may be maintained on a lot only if maintained in a garage or screened area where they are not visible from streets or roads.
- Article V, Section 9, Signs and Mailboxes: Style and size of the mailbox will be uniform.
Mailbox Numbering Requirements
Columbia County has an ordinance that requires proper numbering on mailboxes and provides for significant fines for violations. Problems noted in the past are small numbers, faded numbers, or no numbers at all. In general, the ordinance requires the numbers to be 3 inches high and a different color than the mailbox. By-Laws & Nominating Committee

Finance Committee

Grounds & Lake Committee
Rivershyre residents are very fortunate in the design of our neighborhood. From the cul-de-sacs to the numerous amenities, our neighborhood has been designed to invite a friendly atmosphere and to take advantage of the best that nature offers. We have many common grounds and several bodies of water that serve to bring pleasure to all. In order to maintain a high level of enjoyment and to keep Association costs down, we ask that all Rivershyre residents and guests follow the Guidelines for Use. These guidelines have been established to preserve our amenities and common grounds. It only takes a small effort and some common courtesy on the part of each resident so that all can continue to enjoy our beautiful neighborhood.

Reporting a Burned Out Street Light
Burned out street lights can be a safety hazard. If you notice a street light out in our neighborhood, you have two options. You can report the outage online with Georgia Power by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.georgiapower.com/community/outages-and-stormcenter/power-outage-overview/street-light-outage.html or you can contact Georgia Power by calling 1-888-891-0938. You will get an automated system that will ask you for information regarding the location of the light and the closest street address to the light. It also helps to tie a ribbon of some sort about five feet up on the pole to help them spot it.

Neighborhood Watch & Safety Committee
All Rivershyre residents are invited to participate.

Pool Committee
The primary responsibility of the pool committee is to maintain the safe and sanitary operation of pool facilities and to obtain maximum facility use. The pool committee meets the second Wednesday of each month.
